Events at The Sterling Room can use Sterling Room catering, outside or client-arranged food, or no food service. Available bar formats include no bar, cash bar, and open bar, with client-provided or Sterling Room-provided alcohol options recorded during open-bar planning.
Sterling Room catering
Mix meal formats when one option is not enough.
The current estimate supports boxed meals, buffet meals, plated meals, and premium meals. Quantities can be split across more than one meal format when different groups or parts of the event need different service.
Meal pricing is shaped by the selected service style and quantities. Non-buffet meal selections carry a 10% gratuity in the estimate.
Outside food
Client-arranged food is supported.
Hosts may arrange or bring outside food instead of using Sterling Room catering. A cleaning fee based on guest count is included in the reviewed proposal.
Selecting the outside-food route begins the conversation; service, vendor, access, and cleanup details still need to be coordinated with the team before the event is final.
Bar formats
Plan for no bar, a cash bar, or an open bar.
For an open bar, the quote process records how many guests are covered and whether the client or The Sterling Room will provide the alcohol. Client-provided alcohol includes a nonrefundable service charge based on the number of covered guests.
When The Sterling Room provides alcohol, staff pricing is required before the quote is finalized. This avoids presenting an automatic amount before the service requirements are known.
