The Sterling Room hosts wedding receptions, milestone celebrations, private dinners, anniversaries, and other social gatherings in Elkhart. Couples and hosts can choose a seated, open-floor, chair-row, or custom layout and build food, bar, furniture, lighting, sound, stage, and DJ needs into the estimate.
A flexible beginning
Design around the people and the moment.
A reception may need space for dinner, toasts, dancing, and a clear focal point. A milestone celebration may be more relaxed, with open movement and smaller conversation zones. The room plan begins with the kind of experience the host wants guests to have.
Table seating can support up to 260 guests. An open-floor format can support up to 790. Mixed plans—such as dinner seating with a stage or open celebration area—are handled as custom arrangements and confirmed with the team.
Food and drink
Choose an in-house or outside-food route.
The Sterling Room quote process supports boxed, buffet, plated, and premium meal choices. Hosts may also arrange or bring outside food, or plan an event without food.
Bar choices include no bar, cash bar, or open bar. For an open bar, the estimate records the number of covered guests and whether alcohol is client-provided or supplied by The Sterling Room. Sterling Room-provided alcohol receives staff pricing before the quote is finalized.
The finishing pieces
Coordinate the room and production details.
Tables, chairs, linens, stage, accent lighting, PA system, and DJ service can be selected during the quote process. Setup and cleanup access are planned alongside the actual event hours so the estimate reflects the full schedule.

Yes. Wedding and reception is a supported event type in the venue quote process, with seating, food, bar, equipment, and timing planned around the gathering.
Can we bring outside food?
Yes. The quote system includes an outside or client-arranged food option. The current estimate adds an outside-food cleaning fee based on guest count.
Is DJ service available?
Yes. DJ service can be selected as an hourly add-on during the estimate process.
